Status Quintero is a current pre-revolution brand, introduced circa 1924. The brand's full name is Quintero y Hno (Quintero and brother). It is classified by Habanos SA as a multi-local brand, and has a significant market share. Before circa 2007 it was classified as a global brand.
Generally The range comprises medium strength cigars, using short-filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta regions. There is a non-Cuban brand with the same name.
Releases Current production consists of six handmade cigars. Quintero cigars were included in the 1999 release of the Siglo XXI Humidor. There have been no further special releases.
